Thusananga runs 2 projects in rural South Africa: 

  • A home based care project (Thusananga HBCA)
  • A cluster foster home for vulnerable children (Khaya Lokukhanya)

Thusananga (which means 'helping all' in Sesotho) is a non-profit organisation registered to the Department of Social Development (020-194-NPO)

Khaya Lokukhanya (which means 'house of light') is registered to the Department of Social Development (058-607-NPO)

'We aim to help alleviate some of the problems encountered by those affected and infected by HIV'

News this month........

Emma Weatherstone has completed her tandem skydive to raise well needed funds for Khaya Lokukhanya.

On the 1st September 2012 Emma took a leap of faith and jumped out of a plane at 15000 ft to raise money for Khaya Lokukhanya.

This was a self funded skydive with all the money raised to go to our foster home here in South Africa. Click here to read more
