Thusananga runs 2 projects in rural South Africa: 

  • A home based care project (Thusananga HBCA)
  • A cluster foster home for vulnerable children (Khaya Lokukhanya)

Thusananga (which means 'helping all' in Sesotho) is a non-profit organisation registered to the Department of Social Development (020-194-NPO)

Khaya Lokukhanya (which means 'house of light') is registered to the Department of Social Development (058-607-NPO)

'We aim to help alleviate some of the problems encountered by those affected and infected by HIV'

Our very own Tersia Gerber has been be contracted as a senior social worker to the Department of Social Development - Well Done!

About 3 months ago Tersia applied for a year contract post with the Department Soc Dev as Senior SW. She couldn't believe it when they called her and told her she had been appointed. Click here to read more
