Jumping out a plane for the Kids of Khaya Lokukhanya - September 2012

On September 1st 2012 Emma Weatherstone faced her biggest fear (heights and jumping out of a plane!!) and stepped out of her comfort zone, joining SkyDive South Coast on Salisbury Plains and dcomplete a tandem skydive to raise money for the kids of Khaya Lokukhanya, in South Africa

In 2006 Chaz and I visited South Africa to visit our dear friend Dr Clare Murphy, who set up the 2 charities Thusananga & Khaya Lokukhanya in 2002. We were introduced to the wonderful work she did for a community affected by HIV in this remote region of South Africa, Barkly East in the Eastern Cape. In 2007 I took a sabbatical and visited again to work at the foster home teaching and to learn more about the HIV issues and how they can affect a community. Since then I have worked as a volunteer fund raiser raising money for this cause and take on my next challenge! The charities get very little government funding and can only exist on kind donations via the UK. A little goes a long way in South Africa - Click here to see how far your donations will go.

Donations can made by direct bank transfer or through our secure paypal facility.
