Thusananga runs 2 projects in rural South Africa: 

  • A home based care project (Thusananga HBCA)
  • A cluster foster home for vulnerable children (Khaya Lokukhanya)

Thusananga (which means 'helping all' in Sesotho) is a non-profit organisation registered to the Department of Social Development (020-194-NPO)

Khaya Lokukhanya (which means 'house of light') is registered to the Department of Social Development (058-607-NPO)

'We aim to help alleviate some of the problems encountered by those affected and infected by HIV'

Charity Fundraising Picnic in Westbourne to raise money for the Kids of KL

On 1st August we will be having an fundraising picnic in the village of Westbourne at Mill Road Park to raise money for the kids of Khaya Lokukhanya.

Kili Klimbers for Kids 2011

Clare Rob & Rahul will be climbing the highest peak in Africa to raise money for Khaya Lokukhanya. The mountain is one of the Seven Top Summits of the world – it has the highest point on the African continent.
